Under the guidance of the Komen Orange County Affiliate and the project’s advisory council, researchers from the Department of Epidemiology, University of California, Irvine are currently conducting a collaborative breast cancer data analysis project in order to identify and address disparities in breast cancer incidence and prevalence in Orange County. Community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and local policy makers can use this information to target breast cancer screening, treatment and support services.
