Lee Denim Day®
Friday, October 8, 2004

Lee National Denim Day® is a Huge Success!

On October 10, 2003, Lee National Denim Day celebrated its eight hear as the nation's largest single-day fundraiser for breast cancer research and outreach. On this day, more than 1.4 million individuals from more than 24,000 companies pledged $7 million to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Organizations nationwide wore denim to work in exchange for a $5 donation to the Komen Foundation.

Since 1996, Lee National Denim Day has raised more than $36 million for the fight against breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation receives 100% of the donations to fund research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Visit the Komen Foundation’s website at www.komen.org to see your efforts and donations at work as we move closer to a cure.

Lee Jeans is proud to partner with Christina Applegate, who has recently starred in View From the Top and The Sweetest Thing, for Lee National Denim Day. Christina promoted Lee National Denim Day in honor of her mother, Nancy Priddy, a breast cancer survivor.
